Three Rings
THE WILD'S FRUIT BASKET
Fertilizer stench hits the moment you break atmosphere – and clings to nose hairs for weeks after leaving. Farms, fields, and orchards fill every plot and vertical-stack garden on Three Rings. Over 85% of produce consumed in the Wilds is grown here. Hence the robust Guild presence. Quantity and velocity of growth are prioritized, and as a side effect, flavor suffers. Without looking, the only way to tell if you’re eating a peeler or spawn fruit is the crunch. But a hungry galaxy will eat whatever’s available – and douse it in Universal Flavor if they must.

Taste Drift
Long ago, the Guild started to prioritize quantity over quality. Not by choice but because that's how competitors shouldered others out of markets. The more made of a decent prodcut the more could sell. Not enough discerning consumers to support the markets that went for quality - shipping is an issue, logistics - always bulk deals. Incentive to make more of a thing, not better. That has been true since the Guild incorporated 1037 years ago. The produce produced on Three Rings is generations into selection for bigger and more. Taste wasn't a prioritized vector. That has resulted in a number of fruits, vegetables and legumes that all taste approximately the same. Very large, High quantities. Rapid growth. Short seasons. Plants that cycle through quickly. Everyone eats it. Now if a fruit with true flavor accidentally makes it through it is deemed gross, tossed out as somethign is wrong with it. Does anyone know how a milk grape should taste? How it could taste?
