Husk
INCINERATION STATION
What makes a better garbage incinerator than a gas giant? The Guild was sitting on piles and piles of garbage, looking for a place to toss it. Deep space is never an option; the risk of trash floating into spacelanes and causing fatal crashes is too great. So, a garbage planet it is. A robot-operated sorting platform dangles above Husk, and a constant stream of Guild trash is sorted for recycling or incineration – spoiler, most of it is incinerated.

OLD NAVIGATION SYSTEM
All manner of trash from around the Wilds finds its way to Husk. Melters bring trash they hope to get paid for - certain Guild corporations will pay for "trash" that can be sorted into recyclying. And even trash that's melted by the gas giant is worth a few coin - some Guild corporations pay for the cleanup of the Wilds, investing in getting rid of the old so they can make room for the new. Some of the most valuable trash-turned-recycling on Husk are ship parts. The Guild pays big for recycled starship engine housing units, navigation systems that can be refurbished, and thrusters that have hundreds more burns in them. The trash sorting robots send these things down the line to be shipped back to Roost and used in the second-hand ship market. If these treasures aren't picked up first by hopeful pilots and mechanics looking to fix their starship under the Guild's radar. Since Husk isn't well guarded (The Guild doesn't waste too much energy looking out for their trash) - there's opportunity for a thriving underground market. It's risky to fly to the platform above the gas giant - both for the heat and the risk of running into one of the pillaging bands, some have said they've seen Marauders on the platform. No one wants to run into Marauders on what amounts to a balance beam above a incinerator. ",
